Abstract

Management by process constitutes a management philosophy that over the last decades has gained popularity and generalization in various geographic regions to a greater or lesser extent. This research was developed with the objective of evaluating the degree of concreteness of the application of the management approach process and its impact on the results in construction companies in Ecuador. For its development, instruments and indicators were applied in companies in Ecuador in in the construction sector, zone 4. The main results were identified that even when there is recognition of the relevance of process management, it is restricted to the application of a set of tools typical of this philosophy, but the cultural change that the application of this administrative theory demands of managers has not materialized.
